Three Mushrooms

This post is for Michelle because I know she likes mushrooms and maybe she will know what type of mushroom this is or know more about it. They seemed to pop up overnight. I'm sure it takes longer than overnight to grow, but I didn't notice them there yesterday.
It is fascinating to see them there seemingly all of a sudden.

The background is of the flamingoes at the LA Zoo.
I went there with my son last Monday for President's Day. It was his first time ever to the zoo. It was fun. We had a great day. I want to go back there again soon.
Our day at the zoo started out grey and rainy, then ended in full sunshine and crisp landscapes.

Donut.
What is it about a Chocolate Glazed Chocolate Old Fashion donut from Randy's? It's just one their many fabulous donut choices. Too good.
It's also fun to drive up and order the donut from the donut shop with a giant donut on top.

Airplane Departing LAX

Airplane Departing LAX

Here's one of the many airplanes departing LAX today.
There are rain clouds approaching.
I thought for sure my son would be mezmerized by these huge planes and the enormous sound. He was, but not for long. Once he noticed the dirt path next to the street and all of the pieces of roadside debris he was no longer interested in the planes. Dirty straws, discarded plastic tops, plastic spoons, unidentifiable pieces of plastic... They were all like little gems to him. New discoveries.

T is for Truck.

Truck Book

This is according to my 16 month old son.
This is his absolute favorite book of all-time. He loves to chew on it.
Carry it around. Grandma has even tried taping it back up for him so that he may enjoy it longer.

After I post this, I am temporarily going to change the subtitle of my blog from "Project Pink Suitcase: Art and Life" to
"Project Pink Suitcase: Attempts to Make Art and Life with a Toddler".
As you can see I am very easily distracted these days. I don't mind it though. My toddler will not be a toddler forever...then, it will be on to the next stage. I am just trying to enjoy these moments and stay in the now. Yesterday, my boss at work was asking me about my son and asked how old he is now. I told her, then added a comment about his cute chubby hands. She said I'd better take photos of his hands now...they lose their chub so soon. So, this might be my next task...to document my little guy before he totally grows up.

In regards to my art and art making, I don't want to force anything. I feel like my art will happen again when it is the right time. I'm not worried about it. I miss it, but I'm not worried about. I'm too busy with my toddler to worry about it too much right now anyway.

Today is Groundhog's Day. Happy Groundhog's Day!!!
